Welcome to Bestie. These Terms of Use govern your use of the Bestie wellness app. Please read them carefully. By using Bestie, you confirm that you understand and agree to these terms.
By creating an account or using Bestie, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are using Bestie on behalf of a minor, you represent that you have the legal authority to agree on their behalf.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bestie, and at least 18 to purchase a membership, specialist sessions, or book a session with a Cognitive Specialist. By using the app you confirm you meet these age requirements.
Bestie is an AI-powered mind-training support that offers guided sessions, mood tracking, journaling, structured programs, and the ability to book sessions with independent Cognitive Specialists. The app is provided for general wellness support and self-reflection.
Bestie is not a medical device, therapist, or clinical service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any physical or mental health condition. The AI companion may make mistakes — always use your own judgment. Bestie is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in danger or a mental-health emergency, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services immediately.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from the Profile screen.
The Bestie membership is a recurring monthly subscription that unlocks full access to the app. Specialist session packs are one-time purchases, billed separately from your membership, and do not renew automatically. All fees are displayed before purchase. Membership fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis until you cancel; access continues until the end of the current paid period. Refunds are handled per the terms of the applicable payment provider. Canceling your subscription is separate from deleting your account — see Sections 6 and 12.
You retain ownership of the journal entries, reflections, and other content you create in Bestie. You grant Bestie a limited license to process your content to provide the service, including AI-generated summaries for your care team. You are responsible for the content you share and agree not to submit unlawful or harmful material.
Bestie uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. It does not constitute professional advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for qualified medical, mental health, or emergency care.
You agree not to: (a) use Bestie for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to harm, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; (c) share content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes others’ rights; (d) misuse the booking or messaging features toward specialists or other members; or (e) impersonate another person.
Your use of Bestie is also governed by our Privacy & HIPAA Notice, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. You can review it at any time from the Profile screen or the link below.
Bestie is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bestie and its specialists are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Your use is voluntary and at your own risk.
You may stop using Bestie at any time. Canceling your membership stops future billing while leaving your account and free-tier access intact. Deleting your account is a separate action that removes your Bestie data and login access; it does not automatically cancel an active subscription and does not issue a refund. We recommend canceling your membership before deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue a feature or the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bestie operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
